The Perfect Juggler

The Perfect Juggler blog is written by Katie, a honest, open, slightly sarcastic single mum to an overly dramatic 8 year old daughter. She lives in Warwickshire and is trying to juggle all the balls of her life: Family, friends, dates with the boyfriend, starting a new business, and all the other things that could come crashing down at any moment.

It's been a day of birds today. This morning Otte It's been a day of birds today. This morning Otter found a starling caught in a net we put over our veg. (Note to self do not use fine, plastic netting ever again.) I managed to cut him out and started to work on his wing right when he got fed up and fluttered off. He couldn't fly but wasn't injured but catching him to finish the freeing job was difficult! After realising that the @rspb or @rspca would be no help to me I called upon one of our neighbours who knows her stuff, she got her net and came to help. On our travels around mine, and my neighbours gardens we found two fledgling blackbirds who'd wandered off to the wrong place so we put them back, our neighbour also found a baby sparrow, so we put it back AND she caught the starling and freed it so it could fly off (probably back to its home in our roof 🙄 All before my second coffee and whilst still in my pj's! Then on a walk around Chase Meadow we spotted loads of ducks and ducklings, a heron and a Swan with her signets. Really wish swans weren't such knobs but the babies looked cute! Hopefully a slightly less dramatic evening! I'm officially, a crazy plant lady. Have been feel I'm officially, a crazy plant lady. Have been feeling a bit meh this week so after some dancing exercise this morning to boost the endorphins I decided to spend some time with my green friends. My orchid had grown a baby at the end of one of its off shoots so I gave her a new little home next to her mummy and keeping my fingers crossed she'll bed in so I can cut the apron strings. Also spotted a new baby succulent pushing up from a leaf that dropped off one of my other plants that I planted a month or so ago. And finally got round to rehoming another baby aloe that had sprung up in another pot and some other leaves that I'd propogated 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Feeling very wholesome and happy now and normality can resume.
